Privacy policy

Your privacy is important to us.

Shattock Communications & Research Ltd conforms to worldwide standard market research practice, as espoused by ESOMAR (the world body of market research professionals and organizations). We are personally committed and ethically bound by the ESOMAR Code to keep your identity confidential.

Research carried out by Shattock Communications & Research Ltd  is conducted honestly, objectively and without unwelcome intrusion or disadvantage to you as a respondent. The information we collect is only ever used for statistical purposes and always reported in aggregate form. We do not report any data that identifies you as an individual respondent, unless you request us to for a particular purpose. Your details will only be used for the purpose for which you have provided them.

Protection of your personal details

Personal information such as your email address will only be used for the purpose of conducting the survey.

Access to your personal information is restricted to research personnel. Shattock Communications & Research Ltd will only use this information for research purposes.

The details you provide are not passed on or presented to any third party or published in any form without your express consent.

If you provide identifying information for the purpose of the survey, we will separate your personal details from your survey responses and store them in separate secure files.

Use of data

Our survey analysis will not include any information that identifies you as a respondent.

When personal information is collected for research purposes it will not be used in any manner incompatible with those purposes.

Shattock Communications & Research Ltd may communicate your personal information to our client (for example, so our client may provide you with a promised reward for completion of the research). When this is done, your personal information is always separated from your survey responses.

Your personal information (for example, your email address) will never be provided to third parties and will only be used for this research project.

Security of processing

When research data is passed to an a third party (for example, for specialist analysis) it does not include data that identifies respondents.

Shattock Communications & Research Ltd ensures adequate security measures are employed in order to prevent unauthorized access, manipulation to or disclosure of personal data.

Rights of respondents

Shattock Communications & Research Ltd ensures appropriate measures are taken to ensure respondents understand and can exercise their rights to either:  not participate in a survey, to withdraw from the survey at any time, to require that their personal data is not made available to others, or to delete or rectify incorrect personal data.

Transborder transactions

Particular care is taken to maintain the data protection rights of respondents when personal data is transferred from the country in which it is collected to another country.

When data processing is conducted in another country, all reasonable steps are taken to ensure adequate security measures are observed and data protection principles are respected.

Cookies

During online research we will use cookies to help us with the research procedure. Our cookies contain small pieces of insignificant data such as the time, the date and the project ID. They are generated by our web-server and are temporarily placed on your computer in order to make the online research work more effectively. It is this technology which enables you to complete a survey in two or more sessions, and/or to start a survey from one computer and complete it later on another.

At no time does Shattock Communications & Research Ltd use cookies to obtain unsolicited information from you.

No spam

Shattock Communications & Research Ltd maintains a strict "no-spam" policy. Your email address will not be sold to a third party if you participate in an online survey.

Opt-out

Your participation in any research is entirely voluntary. In all online correspondence to you from Shattock Communications & Research Ltd we will give you instructions on how to opt-out of any further correspondence from us.

If you have previously opted out of research for a different client, you automatically have a right to also opt out of research for the current client.

If you have previously opted out of all research through our system, you will receive a once-only email asking if you wish to consider reviewing that decision for the current client, and providing an online opt-in process.
